Restorative Nurse

Tara Therapy is helping our customer find a Restorative Nurse! We are looking to hire a full-time Restorative Nurse to coordinate restorative therapy for residents in long-term care facilities.  Are you a passionate professional nurse with high ethical standards? As a Restorative Nurse at a long-term care facility, you arrive each day happy to work for a practice that gives you the time and support to get real results for your patients. You love the collaborative spirit at Tara Therapy where you will work hand in hand with physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology. You will have ample opportunities to learn and develop into a better clinician. You will use your knowledge of restorative nursing to develop interventions that promote residents' ability to adapt and adjust in order to live as independently and safely as possible. You will bring specialized knowledge of developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric residents to plan and deliver the best individualized care for each of your patients whether challenged with orthopedic issues, neurological diseases, or complex medical conditions.


You conduct patient assessments and take the time to really understand their restorative needs and goals as you create and implement their individual treatment plans. Your attention to detail is essential to your success, as you keep up-to-date and accurate records. You also provide excellent leadership for restorative nursing assistants. And, your collaborative skills come into play as you play an active role on each patient's interdisciplinary team. Using your good communication skills, you also take the time to thoroughly educate caregivers at the skilled nursing facility on how to assist patients with their individualized maintenance programs. After a day of hard work, you feel great about the measurable progress you have observed in your patients!  



  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing (LPN or RN)
  • Current nursing license to practice as RN/LPN in the state
  • Previous restorative nursing experience
  • Supervisory experience and organizational skills in a long term care setting
  • Must have CPR certification
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations as they pertain to long-term care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation facilities
